Excited and Exhausted

We’re ending the first day of our two week mother/daughter trip to Europe and so far it is everything we hoped it would be. New, exciting, slightly overwhelming, delicious, relaxing, and exhausting.

We left the US late last night, flying out of JFK just as the sun went down. When we arrived in Germany, the sun was high in the sky, and now as it sets we are relaxing in our hotel in Amsterdam.

I’ve got plenty to say about the flight, booking our train tickets, the train ride itself, our hotel, and wandering around Amsterdam for our first day here. But that will all come when I get back to the States and can provide sufficient detail.

In the meantime, I will get back to my glass of complimentary wine and practice sketching some of the great sights we saw today!

Any suggestions for places to eat in Amsterdam tomorrow near the Reijksmusum?

  1. So glad you had this time together. We don’t take these trips often enough, and time is flying by! http://ohtheplaceswesee.com
