Best and Worst of the Metro @ Travel Relapse

I had to reblog Best and Worst of the Metro over on Travel Relapse. This was such an unexpected perspective of the train systems in Paris, London, and Barcelona.

While I’m sure much of the information can be found at various places around the web, I really liked the way he links the character of each city to the cleanliness/timeliness/navigability of the train systems.

“…Paris’ stations are wonderful underground labyrinths each with its own spirit and style. The urban decay theme of the city plays nicely in each station making you feel oddly romantic about being underground. The stations maybe a bit harder to navigate but that might be due to the fact that you’re too busy gazing at the haunting beauty of each tunnel you pass by…”
